... or how to get Double-O-Status

It was December, the snow covered the landscape and my company car - the Lotus Esprit - had already taken up his winter sleep, as I was commisioned by "M" with the "OPERATION KKL".

My planned and well-deserved vacation was so in the bucket, because I sensed that this mission would require great efforts.

All double-O agents were on alert, day "X" was set for
the 2nd of January 2011 and the preparations for the mission
started.

My Bond-Girl Birgit was perfect as always :-) and thus only my vehicle had to be winterized. Fortunately "Q" immediately took care of frost protection, general fitness to my car but still: A Lotus on a snow road is only possible in the 007-movie "For Your Eyes Only".

A trailer was brought in, the Lotus should be transported to the site, the vehicle was loaded and capped.
"Q's" successor "R" accompanied us with his transport vehicle - a Land Rover - and so we started our way to Lucerne.

Once there we waited excitedly for our contact people from MI6 and here they were already. We quickly analyzed the situation, a top secret action should await us.

It was time, it could begin. We heard applauding audience - he was here ...

SIR ROGER MOORE

walked into our secured area, the story took its course:

"Hello Sir Roger Moore, my name is Wolf, Gernot Wolf.
It's a pleasure for me to meet you here in Lucerne."

"Hello Mr. Wolf, and a happy New Year"

"Many thanks and the same to you and your wife. So this
is my car, the Lotus Esprit. Perhaps you remember it ?"

"Oh yes - I think I've seen it before", he smiled and raised his eyes to the bonnet of the car.
"Whose autographs are already here on it ?"

"This is Anatole Taubmann, Gregg Wilson and Leonhard Gmür. I learned them to know in Bregenz at the shootings for Quantum of Solace, where I was an extra.
And I would be very proud, if you could sign my car too."

"Of course I will do it"
, he took a pen and wrote his name
on the bonnet. With a big smile on his face he asked me:

"Have you ever tried to dive with your car ?"

"Oh no - but we could try it together, here and now on the Lake Lucerne."

"I don't think that this is a good idea, because probably I would not get out of the car again ..."

Then he turned to the gathering around the car, gave some autographs to childs and their parents, came back and so
we got the chance to make a group photo.

Unfortunately everything has an end and Sir Roger Moore had to leave, so we gave him little presents for being with us and said goodbye.

BOND, AUSTRIAN BOND

For me this was the highest feeling a Bond-Fan ever can get.
Meeting Sir Roger Moore is like having Double-O-Status confirmed.

Many thanks to all my friends, KKL and the LSO organisation, and especially to Sir Roger Moore.

P.S.:
Sir Roger Moore was attending a UNICEF event in Lucerne,
we are happy to have provided a donation for this.
